2 December 1972 was a significant day in our nation when all seven Emirates became one nation. The rulers of the seven Emirates united together as one country and declared independence from Britain. The agreement between the rulers of the seven Emirates created the United Arab Emirates.
When the seven emirates declared unity and created the United Arab Emirates, the flag of UAE was made, and the first president of UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the wealthiest of the seven emirates, was chosen. UAE is recognised as an influential nation with a growing economy, plentiful oil reserves, a bustling tourist industry and solid infrastructure.
